Foundation Program
Joyful Path of Good Fortune
The Complete Buddhist Path to Enlightenment
Structured Study Program on Sundays 5 - 9pm
We all have the potential for self-transformation, and a limitless capacity for the growth of good qualities, but to fulfill this potential we need to know what to do along every stage of our spiritual journey.
With this book, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso offers us step-by-step guidance on the meditation practices that will lead us to lasting inner peace and happiness.
With extraordinary clarity, he presents all Buddha's teachings in the order in which they are to be practiced, enriching his explanation with stories and illuminating analogies.
Following these practical instructions, we will come to experience for ourselves the joy that arises from making progress on a clear and structured path that leads to full enlightenment.
This is a perfect guidebook to the Buddhist path.
What is Foundation Program?
Foundation Program (FP) is a unique study program designed for people who wish to deepen their knowledge and experience of Dharma. Through following a structured and systematic study and meditation program, we can gain authentic spiritual experience.
On FP we are studying Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's book, Joyful Path of Good Fortune. Starting in April, we begin studying Part One, which will serve to give us greater understanding of the history of the Stages of the Path teachings, preliminary practices, including the meaning of prayers, setting up a shrine and learning to meditate.
By contemplating these practical instructions, meditating on them and integrating them into our daily lives, we can improve our spiritual qualities and be of more benefit to others.
If you are curious about the program, come by and find out what it's all about, with no obligation.
